Manager, PV System Design and Development
Solar Horizon, a developer and operator of commercial and utility scale solar photovoltaic (PV) projects seeks to hire a talented individual who is interested in an opportunity to grow with the company. The successful candidate will assist in a variety of solar project development and design activities in the Pacific Northwest, Hawaii and other locations. The successful candidate will join a small team of professionals and will participate in all phases of project development with an emphasis and primary responsibility of system design and subcontractor management.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Experience designing commercial or large residential solar systems
Experience in AutoCAD, PVSyst, and related programs
Knowledge of NEC Code
Universal Building Code and load calculations experience a plus
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience required
Engineering Degree, License a plus
NABCEP certification desired
Ability to prepare, review design drawings
Attention to detail with a high level of integrity and organizational capacity to manage multiple projects
Proficiency with MS Office (Emphasis on Excel, Outlook, Project)
Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills
Desire to participate in business development, system design, subcontractor management and commissioning
Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast paced environment
